- ______ - Travel to Ethiopia and bring our baby home!
- ______ - Birth Certificate received
- April 28, 2010 - Court Date - PASSED!
- April 22, 2010 - Social Report Received
- March 15, 2010 - Referral!
- February 2010 - awaiting the referral of an infant or twins 0-24 months, or siblings 0-4 years old from Ethiopia
- December 2009 - Home Study update to change age range.
- October 2009 - wait officially increases to 18-24 months
- March 2009 - wait officially increases to 12-18 months
- September 22, 2008 - dossier approved by CHSFS; officially begin international wait (estimated wait for referral is 9-12 months at this point; we expect 12-18)
- May 2008 - August 2008 - home study "update"
- April 2008 - orientation with Children's Home Society and Family Services (quoted wait time: 6-9 months; research suggests more like 12); apply for Ethiopian adoption
- April 2008 - research international adoption and Ethiopia
- March 2008 - at home study renewal caseworker suggests switching to Ethiopia adoption because of more predictable timeline
- March 2007 - September 2008 - sixteen possibilities; no matches
- March 2007 - home visit; home study approved
- February 2007 - met with new caseworker
- December 2006 - caseworker retired
- November 2006 - finished home study paperwork on our end
- August 2006 - began domestic adoption process; expected entire process to take 9-12 months
tears... need i say more. i told payton his friend abinet is coming home very soon and he clapped his hands and gave abinet a kiss (on the computer). so cute! i cant wait for these boys to meet each other soon! so happy for all THREE of you! congrats to the new mommy and daddy!
